RSL Trades Nelson Palacio to FC Zurich of Switzerland

On July 10th it was surprisingly announced that Nelson Palacio was loaned to FC Zurich. Nelson had started the last 4 games for RSL, but with the return of Emeka Eneli, and Brajan Ojeda, as well as the emergence of Noel Caliskan, it seems as if Nelson might not get the minutes he deserves. Nelson held one of our potentially 4 U22 spots and takes up only $200,000 in allocation dollars. Him leaving frees up that spot, the GAM, and an international slot. 

With only 9 days left until the transfer window opens one would hope we are making this move in anticipation of reinforcements in other weaker positions. 

I wish the best to Nelson, and hopes his move to Europe goes great. This is the third move to Europe for RSL players in the last 12 months and helps reinforce our player pathway which could be helpful in future signings for young south american talent.
