RSL Acquires Elias Manoel

Real Salt Lake purchase 23 year old Brazilian striker Elias Manoel from the New York Redbulls. RSL sent NYRB 700,000 GAM and received both Manoel and 3 Natural Draft picks. Those three draft picks were used on FW Lineker Rodrigues Dos Santos, GK Trace Alphin, and DF Aleksandar Vukovic. The transfer fee was split in 2 sums, 550000 in 2025 GAM with the remaining 150000 to be sent in 2026 GAM. NYRB retained some undisclosed sell on clauses to Elias Manoel. 

Last year the striker made 40 appearances for NYRB, scoring 9 goals. Over the last 3 years he has scored 18 goals in 84 games for the club. Before signing for NYRB Manoel played for Gremio in Brazil where he score 9 goals in 39 appearances over 2 seasons. Elias Manoel has a transfermarkt value of 2,000,000$ Real Salt Lake winger Dominik Marczuk has the exact same transfermarkt value. I am also under the impression the left footed attacker can play on the left wing.

Roster Construction Notes: After the trade for Anderson Julio backup stiker minutes will be easy to accrue. If the hope is that he can produce at an output similar to Anderson Julio it would be beneficial for roster construction as Elias only takes up just over half of Anderson Julio's salary. He also requires no GAM to buy down to the maximum league salary.
