Diego Luna and Emeka Eneli Called up to USMNT

Real Salt Lake standout midfielders Diego Luna and Emeka Eneli were both called up by USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino for the January Camp in Ft. Lauderdale. The roster contains 23 players. However only 4 midfielders were called up, this leads me to believe both players could garner some significant minutes against Venezuela and Costa Rica later this month. It is important to note that this January window falls outside of a FIFA International window so clubs do not have to release their players for this camp. This leads to many European teams not releasing top players. While this is promising and guarantees our guys will get some time with Poch it does not guarantee they are in the plans for the 2026 World Cup on home soil.

The USMNT will play Venezuela on Jan 18 at 1PM MT. The USMNT will play Costa Rica on Jan 22 at 5PM MT. The two games will be televised on TNT, Max, and Peacock.
